Sales Executive

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Relationship Management

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
• Monitor sales from key customers and take proactive steps to grow their business.
• Keep track of inactive customers and re-engage them with suitable offers or product updates.
• Ensure smooth coordination with internal teams for order fulfilment and customer satisfaction.

2. Business Development

• Identify and develop new customers.
• Conduct market research to identify potential clients and generate leads.
• Present and promote company products effectively to new and potential customers.

3. Sales Operations & Coordination

• Ensure timely dispatch of samples and track their receipt with customers.
• Follow up with customers for sample feedback and convert samples into sales.
• Keep an updated record of all sample requests and responses.
• Coordinate with the PPC (Production Planning & Control) team for dispatch updates and share accurate order status and delivery timelines to customers.

4. Collection & Credit Control

• Ensure timely payment collections from customers as per agreed credit terms.
• Coordinate with the accounts department to monitor outstanding payments.
• Proactively follow up with clients to minimize overdue payments.

5. CRM & Reporting

• Use CRM daily to log customer interactions, sales progress, and follow-ups.
• Maintain accurate records of inquiries, negotiations, orders, and closures.
• Regularly update the sales pipeline and report progress to management.

6. Sales Performance Monitoring

• Track monthly, quarterly, and annual sales performance against targets.
• Analyze sales trends from key customers and propose strategies for growth.
• Provide management with insights on customer behavior, pricing trends, and competition.
