Civil Site Engineer

Position Overview: The Civil Construction Finishings Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing all finishing works in construction projects, ensuring quality, precision, and adherence to design specifications. This includes managing tasks such as plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, ceiling installations, and other interior and exterior finishes. The role demands expertise in civil engineering principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple teams. Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

• Collaborate with architects, designers, and project managers to interpret finishing specifications and plans.
• Develop schedules and timelines for finishing activities, ensuring they align with the overall project plan.
• Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure the timely availability of finishing materials.

Quality Control and Assurance:

Conduct inspections to ensure that all finishing works meet quality standards, design specifications, and client expectations.

Identify and rectify defects or inconsistencies in finishes, ensuring a flawless end product.

Supervision and Team Management:

Oversee finishing teams, including subcontractors, craftsmen, and laborers.

Provide guidance and technical support to teams on-site to maintain efficiency and quality.

Monitor daily activities, ensuring work progresses according to plan and meets safety standards.

Material and Resource Management:

Evaluate and select appropriate materials for finishing works, considering durability, aesthetics, and cost.

Budget and Cost Control:

Monitor expenditures related to finishing works and ensure they remain within the allocated budget.

Prepare progress reports and financial updates for stakeholders.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Ensure all finishing activities comply with health and safety regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to protect workers and the environment.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 35 years of experience in finishing works in civil construction projects.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Expertise in finishing materials, techniques, and tools.

• Proficiency in using design and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project).
