Civil Site Supervisor

Job Overview:

The Civil Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various teams, ensuring compliance with project specifications, and effectively resolving any issues that may arise during the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Supervision:
• Oversee all on-site civil construction activities to ensure work is carried out according to project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
• Ensure that the project is executed in compliance with design plans, safety regulations, and other relevant standards.

• Team Coordination:
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other site personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Allocate tasks and monitor the performance of site workers to ensure efficiency and quality.
• Conduct daily site meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and plans.

• Quality Control:
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications.
• Identify and rectify any issues or defects in the construction process.

• Safety Management:
• Enforce safety protocols and ensure all site personnel adhere to safety regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to minimize accidents and injuries.
• Report and document any accidents or incidents on-site.

• Progress Monitoring:
• Track project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports for senior management.
• Ensure that construction milestones are met and identify any potential delays.

• Resource Management:
• Manage and allocate resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize productivity.
• Coordinate the delivery and storage of materials to ensure they are available when needed.

• Problem Resolution:
• Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, including delays, technical problems, and personnel issues.
• Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure project requirements are met.

• Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, including work completed, resources used, and any changes to the project scope.
• Prepare and submit necessary documentation to regulatory authorities as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Supervisor in civil construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret AUTOCAD, blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
