Role & responsibilities

Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Work with clients to understand their catering needs and preferences.
  • Develop customized menus and service packages in collaboration with the culinary team.
  • Plan and execute catering events, ensuring all details are handled efficiently.

2. Operations & Logistics:

  • Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of catering events.
  • Ensure timely food preparation, delivery, and presentation.
  • Maintain inventory of catering supplies and coordinate purchasing.

3. Financial Management:

  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates for catering events.
  • Track expenses and ensure profitability of catering services.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.

4. Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise catering staff.
  • Assign duties and monitor performance to ensure quality service.
  • Foster a positive and efficient work environment.

5. Customer Service & Relationship Management:

  • Maintain strong client relationships and handle special requests.
  • Address customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Develop strategies to increase catering sales and customer retention.

6. Compliance & Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Implement best practices for catering service quality.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Catering Manager, Banquet Manager, or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of food service operations and event management.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to manage budgets.
  • Proficiency in catering software and MS Office tools.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in corporate, or large-scale event catering.
  • Knowledge of menu planning and food presentation techniques.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations with professionalism.
