Global HR Director Job Description
The Global HR Director is responsible for leading and managing the human resources function across multiple countries and regions, ensuring alignment with the organization s global business strategy. This role involves developing and implementing HR policies, programs, and initiatives that support the company s goals while fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. The Global HR Director will collaborate with senior leadership to drive talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership: Develop and execute a global HR strategy that aligns with the organization s business objectives and enhances overall performance.
Talent Management: Oversee global talent acquisition, development, and retention strategies to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent across all regions.
Employee Engagement: Implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Global HR Policies: Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with local labor laws and regulations while ensuring consistency across regions.
Diversity and Inclusion: Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives, promoting a culture that values diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
Performance Management: Design and implement global performance management systems that align with organizational goals and support employee development.
Compensation and Benefits: Collaborate with the compensation and benefits team to ensure competitive and equitable pay structures and benefits offerings across different markets.
Change Management: Lead change management initiatives related to organizational restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and other significant changes impacting the workforce.
HR Analytics: Utilize HR metrics and analytics to assess the effectiveness of HR programs and make data-driven decisions to improve HR practices.
Global Compliance: Ensure compliance with international labor laws, regulations, and best practices, minimizing legal risks for the organization.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master s degree or relevant HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a global HR leadership role.
Strong understanding of global HR practices, labor laws, and cultural differences in various regions.
Proven experience in developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Experience in managing HR teams across multiple locations and cultures.
