Praan (Praan, Inc.) is an impact focused deep-tech startup trying to rebuild earth s atmosphere by democratising clean air using breakthrough filterless technology and capturing CO2 directly from the atmosphere using DAC. The company is backed by top tier VCs and CXOs globally and currently operates between the United States and India. Why Everyone worries about the dooms-day in climate change which is expected to occur in the 2050s. However, theres one dooms day which is the reality for 90% of the human population today - Air pollution takes more than 7 Million lives globally every single year. Over 5% of premature childrens deaths occur due to air pollution in developing countries. Further, with increased global emissions annually, it s not possible to capture CO2 at every source, and hence removing it directly from the atmosphere at negligible cost structures is essential. Everyone has relied on governments or experts to solve the problem, but most solutions up until today have either been too expensive or too ineffective. Praan is an attempt at making the future cleaner, healthier, and safer for the generations to come.
Responsibilities:
Partnership Management: Own the origination, onboarding, and success of carbon removal project partnerships.
Own grant and early purchase application processes across India and the United States
End-to-End Deal Management: Source, screen, and close project partnerships, including structuring and negotiating partnership contracts and ensuring partner success.
Client Alignment: Ensure partnerships align with client preferences for quality, deliverability, and outcomes.
CRM & Insights: Utilize sales tools and CRM systems to capture feedback, improve processes, and refine product offerings.
Advocacy: Act as the voice of our project development partners, influencing company and product decisions.
Community Building: Create campaigns to nurture relationships with current and prospective project development partners.
Advisory Support: Provide responsive and commercially relevant advice to partners on carbon removal eligibility, standards, market trends, and contracts.
Product Expertise: Gain in-depth knowledge of our direct-air-capture platform and independently run demos and onboarding sessions.
Representation: Represent Praan at industry events, forums, and community engagements.
Thought Leadership: Develop internal expertise and collateral to better support project partners.
Due Diligence Support: Collaborate with scientific and risk teams to develop robust due diligence and risk modeling frameworks.
Knowledge Contribution: Leverage market knowledge to enhance Praan s due diligence and risk frameworks.
Skill Requirements:
Proven experience in carbon markets, particularly with carbon removal technologies in nature-based and engineered spaces.
Strong network within the carbon removal ecosystem, including project developers, industry players, and standards organizations.
Successful track record in business development, sales, community building, or partnership roles.
Extensive experience with nature-based projects in the Global South is highly desirable.
