Job Title: HR Operations Lead

Team Size: 1-2 direct reports
Job Summary:
Polestar Solutions is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented HR Operations Lead to oversee and manage all HR operational activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless execution of HR processes, compliance, employee life cycle management, payroll coordination, and HR systems administration. The role requires a proactive individual with strong process management skills and experience in IT services industry HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Lifecycle Management: Oversee onboarding, documentation, induction, exits, and employee records management.
- HR Systems & Data Management: Maintain and manage HRIS, ensuring accuracy in employee records, leave management, and reporting. Generate HR analytics and reports for leadership review.
- Performance & Policy Implementation: Support the implementation and communication of HR policies, procedures, and performance management processes.
- Compensation & Benefits Administration: Manage employee benefits programs, including insurance, reimbursements, and statutory benefits.
- Employee Engagement & Support: Act as a point of contact for employee queries regarding policies, payroll, and benefits, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve HR operational workflows to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
- Audit & Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies. Support internal and external HR audits.
- Payroll & Compliance: Coordinate with the payroll team to ensure accurate salary processing, tax compliance, and benefits administration. Ensure adherence to labor laws and statutory requirements.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors for background verification, payroll, benefits, and other HR services.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-6 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in the IT services industry.
- Strong knowledge of Indian labor laws, payroll processing, and HR compliance requirements.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and HR analytics tools.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Experience in managing a small team and mentoring junior HR professionals.
