General Manager PNG Ground Services

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing the PNGGS operation on a day to day basis.
• Ensuring that PNGGS supplies Aviation fuels in accordance with this Supply Organization Exposition.
• Continued liaison with CASA regulatory requirements and ensuring regulatory approvals remain valid.
• Liaison with CASA on any matters relating to the companys supply activities and scope of approval.
• Provision of adequate facilities, equipment, tools, publications and materials for the conduct of supply activities.
• Training of personnel.
• Maintaining the company organizational structure.
• Ensure senior persons transfer responsibilities during periods of absence.
• Implementing any corrective actions resulting from internal and external audits.
• Ensuring that PNGGS has sufficient personnel to plan, perform, supervise, and inspect its supply activities.
• Ensuring the companys commitment to Quality Principles and Practices
• Defining the procedures and facilities that are fit for purpose and ensure operations meet Quality and HSSE requirements in a cost effective manner.
• Overseeing the management of all aviation activities.
• Acceptance of Aeronautical Products.
• Management of fuel suppliers in accordance with J19 standards, CASA regulations under Part 114 PNGGSM own exposition.
• Inspection and Testing of Aviation products.
• Ensure the procedures and policies exist for, and are implemented for the dispatch of Aviation Products and issues of associated release documents
• Executive authority to issue product quality waivers and waivers for non-compliance with procedural/facility requirements of the PNGGS aviation Fueling & Quality Control Regulations.
• Managing operations at all aviation facilities to ensure that all fuel delivered is clean, dry and on specification and fueling related activities meet standards laid down in the relevant manuals.
• Monitoring performance and developing and implementing action plans to ensure continuous improvement of all aspects of related operations.
• Ensuring full compliance with operating standards including the requirements of the exposition and customer expectations.
• Maintaining established Preventative Maintenance programs at all aviation facilities in accordance with set procedures equipment to ensure integrity of plant and equipment.

Preferred candidate profile

• Be educated up to Tertiary level with a minimum of 5 years working experiences in a leadership
• Has Fuel related qualifications and technical Experience
• Experience in a senior management position with 10 years experience
• Extensive experience in the aviation industry in operational roles
