Key skills for the job
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving the Life protection sales through PMLI channels. Category appropriate sales pitches, marketing campaigns etc. Competition tracking, gap analysis, new product development as required.
- Work closely with actuarial and underwriting teams for appropriate pricing of products reflective of target competitive positioning and also our own mortality experience.
- Work with Ops and Underwriting teams to ensure best in class and risk appropriate on-boarding processes are put in place for life protection business. Also, appropriate controls are put in place to mitigate any fraud risk.
- Category development with relevant value -added services to increase customer engagement.
- Extensive cross functional collaboration within PMLI for product filing, process and systems integration.
- Regular management interactions and updates on progress
- Responsibility for quality checks within Product on various elements being carried out.
Required qualifications and experience :
- Graduate or Postgraduate with Prior experience of working in a similar set-up in another Life insurance company / Health insurance company
- The ideal candidate should have back office experience (Underwriting) of Life Insurance and also prior experience of product management/project management. Prior experience of P&L management will be an added advantage.
Knowledge and skills desired :
- Overall understanding of life Insurance business and customer and policy life-cycle
- Entrepreneurial spirit, Strong written and verbal communication, Analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems
- Stakeholder management/Ability to interact and communicate well with the senior leadership team of the company. Ability to interact with channel heads and other function heads.
- Ability to influence and get work done from cross functional teams (not directly reporting)
- Coach, mentor and develop direct reports
- Flexibility to take on ad-hoc work within Products which outside the scope of category and ability to work under pressure.
