Associate -Management Consulting

Role & responsibilities

The vacancy is for the position of Associate, Management Consulting. Nature of projects done in Management Consulting are:

• Business process reengineering
• Process & internal controls consulting
• ERP & process implementation
• Process automation
• Employee performance management systems, etc.
• Financial feasibility & investor pitches for startups

The role of the Associate will be to serve clients on any of the above projects for a period of 3-6 months, after which he will be given another client. The role would include:

• Working with teams of 2-8 members in finding solutions in projects as stated above (e.g. redesigning client processes, improving working capital levels, reducing costs, designing roles & responsibilities for client employees, designing appraisal systems, etc.)
• Preparing for reviews with client CEOs & other senior management
• Working closely with client employees in different departments & levels to implement the recommended solutions
• Train junior employees to acquire consulting skill-sets
• Provide practical solutions to business problems by identifying gaps and inefficiencies in current working

Preferred candidate profile

• Good understanding of business processes such as supply chain process, sales process, HR process, etc.;
• Strong logic and keen to learn;
• Interested in doing management consulting work which involves high level of people interaction and requires problem-solving skills (job profile explained below)
• Excellent oral communication in English and Tamil (knowledge of Tamil is mandatory);
• Familiarity with accounting packages such as tally;
• Good written communication in English;
• Willingness to travel to client locations in and around Tamil Nadu
