Compliance Manager
Location:
Sector 47, Gurugram (Haryana)
Experience:
4-12 years (minimum 3 years in a lead role)
Educational Qualifications:
Full-time PG Degree/MBA/MSW
Additional certifications or expertise in compliance and labor laws are desirable.
Key Expertise & Skills:
Strong experience in managing compliance, plant-level statutory requirements, and labor-related regulations.
Active experience managing a direct team of 3-5 members.
Hands-on knowledge of labor laws, collective bargaining, contract management, and compliance processes.
Exposure to managing compliance in a manufacturing, construction, or signage-related business.
Familiarity with digital platforms for managing compliance and industrial relations (IR).
Proven ability to handle unionized blue-collar workforces and liaise with statutory authorities effectively.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Statutory Compliance:
Ensure complete adherence to labor laws, including the Factories Act, Contract Labour Act, EPF Act, Employees Compensation Act, Payment of Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act, etc.
Manage licenses for plants and offices, ensuring timely renewals under labor legislation.
Facilitate compliance audits and statutory authority visits.
Industrial Relations (IR):
Address disputes and disagreements between employees and unions, ensuring smooth resolution.
Interact with labor and trade unions to foster positive relationships benefiting both labor and management.
Formulate and implement long-term settlements for harmonious workplace relations.
Manage compliance and IR for multiple sites or plants.
Grievance Redressal & Disciplinary Action:
Implement an effective grievance redressal system for plants and ensure timely resolution of concerns.
Act on disciplinary issues in plants and offices, ensuring legal and organizational guidelines are followed.
Welfare & Training:
Oversee welfare measures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Provide training to stakeholders on compliance and labor law updates.
Coordination & Liaison:
Work closely with labor contract agencies for the deployment of contractual workforces.
Liaise with statutory authorities and local administration to maintain smooth compliance operations.
Maintain contact with company solicitors and advocates on labor issues when required.
Key Deliverables:
Full adherence to statutory compliance across all plants and project sites.
Seamless handling of grievances and unionized workforce-related issues.
Successful coordination for compliance audits and visits by statutory authorities.
Timely renewal of licenses and formulation of long-term workplace agreements.
