Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Head of HR & Recruitment to lead and manage all Human Resources and Recruitment activities for our rapidly growing US operations. Reporting directly to the CEO.


This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic HR initiatives that support our business goals, ensuring a positive and compliant work environment, and fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.


The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in US recruitment, a proven ability to build and maintain strong employee relations, and a demonstrated track record of successfully navigating complex HR challenges, including grievance handling, disciplinary actions, and performance management.


This role demands a leader with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen focus on driving discipline and maintaining high standards across the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HR Leadership:
    • Develop and implement the overall HR strategy, policies, and procedures aligned with the company's business objectives and US employment laws.
    • Provide strategic guidance and counsel to senior management on all HR-related matters.
    • Stay abreast of current and future HR trends, legislation, and best practices, and proactively recommend changes to policies and programs.
    • Champion and foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting employee engagement and satisfaction.

  • Full-Cycle Recruitment:
    • Oversee the full recruitment process, from sourcing and screening candidates to interviewing, making offers, and onboarding new hires.
    • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent for all levels of the organization, including specialized roles within the BPO/ KPO sector.
    • Manage relationships with recruitment agencies, job boards, and other external resources.
    • Ensure a positive and efficient candidate experience.

  • Employee Relations & Performance Management:
    • Provide leadership and guidance on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
    • Handle and resolve employee grievances and complaints in a fair, consistent, and timely manner, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
    • Develop and implement performance management systems, including performance reviews, goal setting, and development plans.
    • Lead disciplinary actions, ensuring due process, documentation, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. This includes the ability to drive and maintain a high level of discipline within the organization.
    • Conduct investigations into employee misconduct, ensuring thoroughness, fairness, and confidentiality.

  • Employee Lifecycle Management:
    • Manage the complete employee lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience.
    • Oversee all aspects of employee documentation, including contracts, offer letters, and personnel files.
    • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
    • Manage payroll processes and ensure accurate and timely payment of wages and benefits.
  • Compliance and Legal:
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that are compliant with all applicable laws.
    • Manage and respond to legal inquiries and audits.
    • Maintain meticulous records and documentation to support compliance efforts.

  • Training and Development:
    • Identify training needs and develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
    • Oversee the onboarding and training of new employees.
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development.

  • Team Leadership & Management:
    • Lead mentor, and develop the HR team.
    • Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and foster a high-performance culture within the HR department.
    • Manage the HR budget effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 18+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on US recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations. Experience within a BPO or similar fast-paced service industry is highly desirable.

  • Education: Bachelors degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

  • Certifications: SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar HR certifications are highly preferred.

  • Expertise:
    • Deep understanding of US recruitment.
    • Proven experience in all aspects of the employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and offboarding.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle complex employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations.
    • Strong experience in driving and maintaining discipline within an organization.
    • Experience developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
    • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP, etc.).
    • Experience with performance management systems and talent development programs.

  • Skills:
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
    • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
    • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
