Job Title: Senior ServiceNow Developer

Experience Range: 7-14 years

Location: Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kochi, Trivandrum, Pune, Noida, Chennai

Job Summary:

UST is seeking a highly skilled Senior ServiceNow Developer with extensive experience in developing, implementing, and optimizing solutions within the ServiceNow platform . The ideal candidate will have expertise in ITSM, ITOM, CSM, CMDB, HRSD, and Security Operations , along with strong skills in scripting, integrations, and system architecture . This role requires leadership, problem-solving abilities, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency in ServiceNow implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

ServiceNow Development & Customization:

• Design, develop, and implement custom applications, workflows, and UI components in ServiceNow.
• Configure and enhance ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, CSM, CMDB, HRSD, and Security Operations .
• Develop and maintain business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, script includes, and workflows .
• Utilize Flow Designer, Integration Hub, and Scripted REST APIs for process automation.
• Create and maintain custom dashboards and reports using ServiceNow Performance Analytics.

ServiceNow Integrations & API Development:

• Develop integrations between ServiceNow and third-party applications using REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML .
• Implement SSO, LDAP, MID Server, and OAuth authentication mechanisms .
• Configure web services, data transformations, and event-based integrations .

CMDB & ITOM Support:

• Design and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) ensuring data integrity and reconciliation .
• Implement Discovery, Event Management, and Service Mapping to enhance ITOM capabilities.

Process Improvement & Best Practices:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and propose effective ServiceNow solutions .
• Ensure development follows best practices, security guidelines, and compliance standards .
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, and system performance tuning .
• Lead efforts to automate and optimize IT service management processes .

Incident, Problem & Change Management:

• Support incident, problem, and change management processes within ServiceNow.
• Troubleshoot complex ServiceNow-related issues to ensure system stability and performance .
• Provide L3/L4 technical support for ServiceNow-related incidents.

Mentorship & Leadership:

• Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices and ServiceNow development methodologies.
• Collaborate with architects, business analysts, and project managers for successful project execution.
• Participate in ServiceNow upgrade planning and implementation .

Must-Have Skills:

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development across multiple modules.
• Expertise in JavaScript, Glide API, AngularJS, jQuery, and UI/UX customization .
• Strong experience in ITSM, ITOM, CSM, CMDB, Service Portal, and Service Catalogs .
• Proficiency in ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) for testing and validation.
• Hands-on experience with Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, and third-party tool integrations .
• Strong understanding of data management, reporting, and Performance Analytics .
• Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, cloning, and system administration .
• Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies .

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience working with HRSD, Security Operations, or other ServiceNow modules .
• Knowledge of ServiceNow Discovery, Event Management, and Orchestration .
• Exposure to Cloud platforms and DevOps tools .
• Experience with version control systems (e. g. , Git) and CI/CD pipelines .
