Job Description
- Design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using GCP services.
- Apply best practices for application architecture, design patterns, and coding standards.
- Implement security best practices and compliance standards in application development, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection.
- Develop and maintain automated testing, deployment, and monitoring solutions using CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing and GCP and evaluate new tools and services for potential integration into existing applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, define technical specifications, and implement solutions that meet business needs.
Experience:
- Over 10 years of experience, with 4+ years in cloud software development roles, or similar role, and 2+ years of hands-on experience with the Google Cloud Platform technology stack.
- Skilled in programming languages such as Nodejs, Python, Java, JavaScript, or Go.
- Experience in building and deploying applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using GCP services such as Compute Engine, App Engine, GKE, Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and Composer.
- Strong understanding of serverless computing concepts and GCP services such as Cloud Functions and Cloud Run.
- Proficiency in Containerization and orchestration (e.g: Docker, containers, Kubernetes).
- Good Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, and proficiency in SQL and database design principles.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Google Cloud Build.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and deployment automation.
- Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Developer certifications are highly desired.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Strong abilities in communication and collaboration.
