Job Description
- Service Ownership & Strategy: Define and execute the Azure Operation & Engineering strategy, ensuring alignment with business and IT goals.
- Azure Infrastructure Management: Oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of Azure resources including VMs, networking, storage, and databases.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce Azure security policies, governance frameworks, identity & access management (IAM), and regulatory compliance (PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Cloud Automation & DevOps: Deploy and maintain automation using Terraform, ARM templates, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Networking & Hybrid Cloud Integration: Manage Azure Virtual Networks (VNet), ExpressRoute, VPN, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Monitoring & Performance Optimization: Utilize tools like Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights to optimize cloud performance and availability.
- Cost & Resource Optimization: Implement cost-saving strategies, right-sizing recommendations, and FinOps practices to optimize cloud spending.
- High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Design and implement Azure Site Recovery (ASR), backup solutions, and business continuity plans.
- Incident & Problem Management: Lead the resolution of Azure-related incidents, conduct root cause analysis (RCA), and drive continuous improvements.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Collaborate with security teams, application owners, cloud architects, and service providers to ensure smooth operations.
- IT Service Management (ITSM): Implement ITIL best practices for incident, problem, and change management related to Azure operations.
- Minimum 12+ years in cloud infrastructure and operations, with at least 5+ years in Azure cloud engineering and leadership roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure IaaS/PaaS services, Kubernetes (AKS), and microservices architectures.
- Expertise in Azure ADF, Entra ID, security best practices, and identity governance.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
- Deep knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, NSGs, Load Balancers, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway).
- Strong understanding of SIEM solutions, SOC operations, and cybersecurity frameworks.
- Experience with hybrid cloud strategies and multi-cloud management.
- Familiarity with database solutions on Azure (SQL Managed Instance, CosmosDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
