Job Summary:

We are seeking a Disaster Recovery (DR) Specialist to design, implement, and test a robust DR strategy for Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). The role involves ensuring business continuity, data protection, and compliance while minimizing downtime and potential losses.

Key Responsibilities:

1. DR Strategy & Planning

• Assess current infrastructure and define DR objectives (RTO, RPO, site locations, data consistency, budget, etc.).
• Ensure availability of compatible hardware for D365 components (SQL Server, AOS, IIS, and reporting services).
• Set up redundant high-speed network connections between the primary and DR sites.
• Implement firewall configurations, VPN, or direct secured connections for data replication.

2. Configuration & Implementation

• Set up and manage SQL Server replication (Always On availability groups, DB mirroring).
• Configure file storage replication (DFS, third-party replication tools).
• Ensure data encryption for secure data storage and transmission.
• Replicate and synchronize key D365 services and configurations across DR sites.
• Customize NMB Bank-specific configurations (IP addresses, URLs, DNS entries).
• Implement automated backup solutions (full, differential, log backups).
• Configure DNS, load balancers, and network routing for seamless failover.

3. Testing & Documentation

• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for failover and failback.
• Debug and validate DR setup for operational readiness.
• Develop and maintain DR documentation (failover/failback procedures, contact details, responsibilities).
• Train internal teams and stakeholders on DR best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience in DR planning and implementation for Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server Always On, DB mirroring, file storage replication, and backup solutions.
• Expertise in firewall, VPN, DNS, and network failover configurations.
• Familiarity with cloud-based DR strategies and Microsoft LCS for synchronization.
• Ability to perform UAT, debugging, and DR documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications.
• Experience in banking/financial services industry.
• Knowledge of NMB Bank-specific configurations is a plus.
