Job Role Summary

In the role you will require to carry out maintenance activities to upkeep the Mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery by performing scheduled maintenance & prompt resolution of breakdowns in a timely manner to ensure production targets are met seamlessly as per defined timelines and in conformance with quality

Job Key Deliverables

Conducting and completing 100% Preventive, Productive & Corrective maintenance as per defined schedules

Running the daily and weekly checks on equipment as per the priority and plan to ensure smooth operations

Troubleshooting machine breakdowns with RCA and provide preventive maintenance services

Capturing daily breakdown data & maintaining it along with key inputs in the system

Preparing various MIS as per defined guidelines for analysis and proactive improvement plans

Ensure availability of common spare parts and effective management of consumables to use during maintenance activities

Providing safe working environment to ensure electricity induced accidents and mishaps are prevented

Overseeing mechanical works when new projects are undertaken

Monitoring and promoting adherence to laid down procedures and safety standards

Facilitating reduction in transformation cost through implementation of various improvement initiatives related to controlling resources, improving productivity, inventory reduction, energy cost optimization, rejection, and consumables cost controls

Collaborating with internal and external stake holders and providing support and information for related activities to ensure timely implementations of different projects

Should have procedural ability to comprehend and execute processes effectively along with adherence to defined standards of excellence within deadlines to complete targets

Should possess the requisite skills and potential to perform job in a manner that minimizes hazard to oneself, others and the work environment and promotes safety environment.

Must be a team player with an ability to work collaboratively with others to produce and develop the specified plans

Strong verbal and written communication to exchange accurate information, data and messages across stakeholders

Ability to establish a systematic course of action for self or others to ensure successful project completion including effective planning, prioritizing and timely and effective resources management.

Ability to be far sighted and anticipate potential obstacles and develop contingency plans to overcome them.

Open to learn and quest for continuously building knowledge and keeping abreast with the technical and procedural aspects of the job

Failure avoidance, failure frequency, or mean time between failure (MTBF)

Number of Process improvements and cost cutting ideas (suggestions/initiatives)

Completing scheduled maintenance tasks within the standard time

Percentage planned maintenance versus the percentage of emergency repair work

Qualification and Experience:

BE/ Diploma in Engineering or BE Mechanical / Automobile / Production

4-8 years of Experience, Preferred Industry Experience Automobile and engine manufacturing industry, Auto Ancillary companies

Exposure of PLC, Electronics , Robotics, Plant Machinery maintenance as well as Utility

Hands on experience of FANUC/ABB/YASKAWA Robot programming

Variance analysis and problem solving.

TPM, 5S, ISO TS16949, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 systems

SAP, ERP, SCADA & knowledge of Safety systems,

Knowledge of Manufacturing Process

Knowledge of advance technologies & equipment

Waste Identification & elimination practices

Experience in problem solving techniques & root cause analysis
