Eng/AM/DM- Incoming Quality- Sheet Metal, Casting, forging, Electrical

Job Role Summary

You will actively monitor to ensure compliance of Incoming parts for Commodity 1 (Sheet metal parts, Casting forging, machined parts & Hardware) as per defined Quality standard for Commodity 1 in to meet Internal and external customer expectations

Job Responsibilities, Competencies and Success factor

Identifying gaps and generate feasible solutions for closure of non-conformities through preliminary analysis and initiating corrective actions for improvement & sustenance

Supporting key cross functional teams and provide the requisite change processes quality approval to ensure timely and seamless introduction of new models

Scheduling of lot inspections and releasing the desired report within set timelines

Implementing process improvements and design changes to improve reliability of the product

Facilitating the resolution of quality related issues in the incoming parts with the suppliers (PPM, EOL clearance)

Reviewing and initiating the timely disposal of supplier rejection parts.

Driving operational excellence in the work area by maintaining 5S & Kaizen

Identifying Quality improvement projects with focus on Achieving Warranty, Outgoing Quality Demerit Score, Incoming Rejection PPM & Disturbance PPM, FSO & PIST targets.

Executing the IMS Implementation to ensure adherence of QEHS procedures through team integration & standard requirements

Daily monitoring of targets and coordinating with SQA and Supplier team for concern resolution

Conducting various quality audit checks as per set standards before release of approval for New parts

Imparting training to quality inspectors and technicians about quality parameters and checking methods

Initiating actions for line rejection / problems due to IQC slippage and monitoring the same by taking feedback from production

Providing constructive feedback to suppliers regarding their respective quality rating and audit report

Driving continuous improvement initiatives in the manufacturing processes to exceed customer expectations in product quality, cost, delivery; manufacturing efficiency and operational excellence.

Collaborating with internal and external stake holders and provide support for related activities to ensure timely implementations of different projects by proactively extending necessary information and support

Ability to strongly observe the processes or elements leading to the accomplishment of results and identifying ways of continuous improvement in quality and efficiency

Must have strong technical knowledge to provide sound and insightful recommendations in area of expertise to stakeholders and team members

Good interpersonal skills with ability to design and implement strategies effectively to influence team members and stakeholders toward the accomplishment of set targets goals

Ability to establish a systematic course of action for self or others to ensure successful project completion including effective planning, prioritizing and timely and effective resources management.

Ability to drive others towards focus on safety and environmental issues and promotes working in a safe environment.

Qualification and Work Experience

BE Mechanical / Automobile / Electrical/Electronics/ Chemical/ Plastic & Rubber technologies/ Production

Work Experience 5 - 15 Years of Experience in Engine manufacturing / Vehicle Manufacturing Preferred Industry Experience Automobile industry (OEM), Auto Ancillary companies

Product Knowledge of Electrical & Electronics component, rubber, plastic , rexine & Mechanical proprietary items

Awareness of manufacturing process for Electrical & Electronics component, rubber, plastic , rexine & Mechanical proprietary items

Product knowledge vehicle, Engine and Gear Box.

Strong Knowledge of Quality systems and Quality Audit Process certifications like TS16949/OHSAS

Knowledge of Manufacturing processes, Testing & Qualification related to Sheet metal & Fabrication, Hardware, Machining,

Knowledge of Inspection and Measuring instruments, testing criteria (Destructive & Non-Destructive testing).

Knowledge of Engineering drawings & Norms applicable to different processes.

Quality Core Tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQA & PPAP) & 8D, 7QC Tools

LEAN manufacturing practices, SAP QM Module & Oracle

Continuous Improvement Methodology – PPS / TPM / TQM courses

ISO / TS Quality System certifications,

Analytical skills and usage of problem-solving tools/Data analysis and Review

Certified Coach / Trainer / Lead Auditor

Six Sigma Black Belt, Exposure to Metallurgy.

Exposure to Electrical and Electronic components
