Job Description

Position Overview:

The AVP - Wealth Management Sales will be responsible for driving the growth of the wealth management business by managing and expanding relationships with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), Corporates and Distributors. This role requires a blend of sales expertise, market knowledge, and the ability to provide strategic wealth management solutions to clients. You will be instrumental in meeting revenue targets, enhancing client satisfaction, and supporting the overall objectives of the Wealth Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
    • Generate and drive sales of wealth management products and services to HNWIs and UHNWIs.
    • Build, manage, and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients through proactive networking and outreach.
    • Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring continued engagement, satisfaction, and growth of their portfolios.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., relationship managers, investment advisors, product specialists) to offer tailored solutions to clients.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients and provide personalized wealth management services.
    • Understand clients financial needs, risk tolerance, and long-term goals to recommend investment strategies and products that align with their objectives.
    • Foster long-term client relationships through regular meetings, portfolio reviews, and value-added advice.
  • Strategic Planning & Reporting:
    • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue and asset growth targets.
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and revenue performance.
    • Regularly report on sales progress, challenges, and market trends to senior leadership.
  • Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis:
    • Stay up-to-date with market developments, financial products, and emerging trends in the wealth management space.
    • Analyze competitor offerings to ensure that the firms product suite remains competitive and relevant to client needs.
  • Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
    • Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery.
    • Mentor junior team members and assist in their development, offering guidance on best practices in wealth management sales.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field. MBA or professional certifications (CFA, CFP) is a plus.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in wealth management, sales, or relationship management within the financial services industry.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of wealth management products.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
    • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Established network of HNWIs/UHNWIs and professional connections.
  • Previous experience in a sales leadership or management capacity is a plus.
  • Strong client-focused approach with a deep commitment to delivering high-quality service.
