Finance and Tax Manager

Job Role and Responsibilities:
The Finance and Tax Manager will play a critical role in managing the company's financial operations, tax compliance, and ensuring the smooth implementation of tax planning strategies. You will report to senior leadership and work closely with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities include:
Tax Planning & Compliance:
- Tax Planning: Formulate and implement strategies for tax saving, optimizing the company's tax liabilities while complying with all applicable laws.
- Direct & Indirect Tax Compliance: Ensure the company is in full compliance with the Income Tax Act and Goods and Services Tax (GST) laws.
- Handle tax filings, assessments, and ensure adherence to statutory deadlines.
- Tax Preparation: Oversee and prepare the company's income tax returns, GST returns, and other tax-related documentation.
- Advisory & Optimization: Advise the management on tax implications of business decisions, transactions, and changes in tax regulations.
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Financial Preparation: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring that the financial statements comply with accounting standards and regulations.
- Audit Preparation & Compliance: Lead internal and external audits, including liaising with auditors and preparing audit documentation.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, monitor and report on the company's financial performance, and provide insights for decision-making.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital, ensuring financial liquidity for operations and investments.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Lead & Mentor Team: Supervise and guide a team of junior accountants, providing mentorship, training, and support to ensure high performance.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with various departments (Legal, Operations, and Finance) to ensure the smooth execution of tax strategies and financial reporting.
- Process Improvements: Continuously assess and recommend improvements to internal processes related to tax planning, compliance, and financial reporting.
Regulatory Updates & Risk Management:
- Stay Updated: Keep track of changes in tax laws, financial regulations, and accounting standards, ensuring the company is always compliant with the latest requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in tax and financial areas and mitigate them by implementing appropriate controls and processes.
Qualifications:
Educational Requirements: Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 4 years of post-qualification experience.
Core Skills:
- Expertise in Tax Planning, Tax Compliance, and Tax Preparation, with a strong understanding of Income Tax and GST laws.
- Experience in Financial Management, including Financial Reporting, Audit Preparation, and Financial Analysis.
- Familiarity with Indian financial regulatory environment and ability to manage statutory requirements and filings.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with senior management.
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in managing a small to medium-sized finance team, mentoring staff, and leading projects
