Job Description

About the Role:

We are looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Sales and Marketing Manager to lead and oversee both the sales and marketing efforts of our company.

This position requires a skilled professional with a strong ability to drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and impactful marketing campaigns.

You will play a key role in developing and executing integrated sales and marketing strategies to expand the customer base, increase brand awareness, and achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Execution:

- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, drive new business, and build long-term customer relationships.

- Oversee the sales pipeline management, ensuring leads are properly qualified, nurtured, and converted into paying customers.

- Identify new sales opportunities, markets, and customer segments, leveraging both inbound and outbound sales strategies.

- Work closely with the sales team to ensure they are properly equipped with the tools, resources, and training they need to succeed.

- Set clear sales targets and KPIs for the sales team, monitor performance, and provide guidance to meet and exceed sales goals.

Marketing Strategy & Execution:

- Create and execute marketing plans that align with the sales objectives, focusing on customer acquisition, retention, and brand awareness.

- Oversee digital marketing campaigns, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, content marketing, and social media to drive traffic and generate leads.

- Work closely with the design and content teams to create engaging and effective sales collateral, presentations, and marketing materials.

- Manage the production of marketing content, such as blog posts, case studies, email newsletters, and product videos.

- Leverage marketing automation tools to increase efficiency in campaign execution and performance tracking.

Lead Generation & Customer Acquisition:

- Work with the sales and marketing teams to design and execute lead generation strategies, including inbound marketing, cold outreach, events, webinars, and partnerships.

- Develop customer personas and market segmentation strategies to ensure effective targeting of leads.

- Monitor and improve the conversion funnel, ensuring that leads are efficiently nurtured from awareness to decision-making.

Brand & Market Positioning:

- Oversee brand messaging and ensure consistent communication across all channels.

- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitors, and industry trends to inform both sales and marketing strategies.

- Analyze and adjust market positioning strategies to keep the brand competitive in a dynamic market.

Sales and Marketing Integration:

- Ensure seamless alignment between sales and marketing teams, fostering collaboration to improve lead quality, streamline processes, and ensure both teams are working toward common goals.

- Utilize CRM tools (such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Zoho) to track leads, sales activities, and customer interactions, ensuring both marketing and sales have access to up-to-date information.

- Collaborate with the sales team to refine messaging, identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling, and optimize customer retention strategies.

Campaign Planning & Analytics:

- Develop, implement, and manage marketing campaigns that support the company's overall sales goals, ensuring campaigns are executed on time and within budget.

- Regularly track, measure, and analyze the performance of sales and marketing efforts using KPIs (such as conversion rates, customer acquisition cost, ROI).

- Provide detailed reports and insights to senior management on campaign effectiveness and areas for improvement.

Team Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of marketing and sales professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and performance evaluations.

- Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture across both sales and marketing teams.

- Ensure that both teams are aligned with company goals and work together to achieve targets.

Customer Relationship & Retention:

- Develop and implement customer retention strategies, including post-sale follow-up, loyalty programs, and regular touchpoints to increase customer lifetime value.

- Work closely with customer success and support teams to ensure a positive customer experience, resolve issues, and enhance overall satisfaction.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Experience:

- 5+ years of experience in a combined sales and marketing role, with a focus on both B2B and B2C environments.

- 2-3 years of experience managing teams in sales and marketing, ideally in [industry-specific experience, e., technology, SaaS, retail, consumer products].

- Proven track record of successfully implementing sales and marketing strategies that drive business growth.

- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading both sales and marketing functions effectively.

Sales & Marketing Expertise:

- Strong understanding of sales processes (from prospecting to closing) and marketing techniques (inbound and outbound) in digital and traditional channels.

- Proficient in CRM systems (e., Salesforce, HubSpot) and marketing automation platforms (e., Marketo, Mailchimp).

- Experience in digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, social media management, and email marketing.

- Knowledge of lead generation and demand generation strategies to fuel the sales pipeline.

Strategic Thinking & Problem-Solving:

- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess campaign effectiveness, interpret data, and make strategic adjustments.

- Ability to create and execute long-term, sustainable sales and marketing strategies while also being able to pivot and adapt to changing market conditions.

Leadership & Communication:

- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage performance, and drive a high level of accountability.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to senior management and stakeholders.

- Interpersonal skills to build relationships both internally with team members and externally with customers and partners
