Deputy Director - AWS SRE

PepsiCo is a global leader in Convenient Foods and Beverages with a focus on innovation, scalability, and cloud-first solutions. We are looking for a Deputy Director - AWS SRE to join our growing team and help drive the reliability, security, and efficiency of our cloud-based infrastructure.

• Design, build, and optimize scalable, resilient cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Automate operations using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and refine observability (logging, monitoring, tracing) using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Datadog.
• Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem processes.
• Work with engineering teams to improve system performance, scalability, and cost efficiency (FinOps).
• Enhance security and compliance by implementing best practices (IAM, security groups, encryption).
• Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to incident resolution strategies

12+ years of SRE/DevOps experience with AWS in large-scale production environments.

• Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, RDS, S3, VPC, Route 53, etc.).
• Strong automation skills with Python, Go, or Bash.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, CDK).
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Spinnaker).
• Solid experience with observability & monitoring ( Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Familiarity with Kubernetes (EKS) and containerization (Docker).
• Understanding of networking, security best practices, and compliance (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Experience with FinOps and cost optimization on AWS.
Exposure to multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP).
Previous experience working with high-traffic applications or fintech systems.
