Pepagora - Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation Testing (4-8 yrs)

Position Summary :

We are looking for a highly skilled QA Lead to oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including test strategy, automation, defect management, and AI-driven testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will lead the QA team, drive process improvements, and ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Strategy & Execution :

- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans covering functional, non-functional, regression, and exploratory testing.

- Define test automation strategies, leveraging AI-driven test automation tools where applicable.

- Ensure effective test data management and environment setup.

Automation & AI-Driven Testing :

- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI, API, and performance testing.

- Utilize AI-powered tools to enhance test efficiency and reduce manual effort.

- Implement self-healing test automation frameworks where feasible.

Defect & Quality Management :

- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.

- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to improve software quality.

- Establish and enforce QA best practices and industry standards.

Leadership & Team Management :

- Mentor and coach junior QA engineers, promoting best practices.

- Conduct code reviews for test scripts and automation frameworks.

- Champion continuous integration and test-driven development (TDD).

UI & Cross-Platform Testing :

- Ensure pixel-perfect UI accuracy across mobile, tablet, and desktop.

- Conduct cross-browser and responsive testing.

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration :

- Enhance QA processes, tools, and test automation frameworks.

- Work closely with Product, Design, and Development teams to align QA with business goals.

- Maintain detailed test documentation to ensure consistency across projects.

Requirements :

Experience : Minimum 5+ years in a QA role, with at least 2 years in a lead position.

Technical Skills :

Frontend testing (Next.js + React) :

- Unit Testing : Jest + React Testing Library

- UI Testing : Playwright or Cypress

- E2E Testing : Cypress

Backend testing (NestJS + Python Microservices) :

- Unit Testing : Jest (NestJS) + Pytest (Python)

- API Testing : Postman (AI) + Newman or Supertest (NestJS)

- Load Testing : k6 or Locust

General :

- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Zephyr).

- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript).

- Hands-on experience with AI-driven testing frameworks (Testim, Mabl, Applitools).

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

- Knowledge of agile and scrum methodologies.

- Exposure to security testing tools and best practices.

Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
