About the Role:
- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to join our dynamic team.
- In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our operational functions, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day operations while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and compliance.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Demat Account Management:
Oversee the entire lifecycle of client Demat accounts, including:
- Account opening and modifications for NSDL and CDSL
- Demat and Remat processes
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of all requests.
Depository Participant Operations:
- Manage all aspects of Depository Participant operations, including:
- Stock Pay-in and Pay-out
- Pledge and Repledge processes
- Depository Participant Audits
Back-Office Operations:
- Manage and oversee daily back-office operations, including:
- Bank reconciliations
- Trade confirmations
- Corporate actions processing
- Settlement procedures
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines issued by SEBI, NSE, BSE, and other regulatory bodies.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of operations professionals.
- Allocate work effectively, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
Process Improvement:
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.
Technology & Systems:
- Work closely with the IT department to ensure smooth functioning of all operational systems and platforms.
- Stay abreast of technological advancements in the securities market and explore opportunities for automation.
Your Key Qualifications & Competencies:
Essential:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Minimum 4-6 years of hands-on experience in handling operations within the Broking/Depository Participant/PMS industry.
- Strong understanding of securities market operations, including trading, settlement, and clearing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Desirable:
- NISM certifications (Modules VI and VII) preferred.
- Experience in Wealth Management firms is a significant advantage.
- Knowledge of Class Software or other relevant industry software.
