Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager- Purchase

Raw Material (RM) Procurement:

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers for APIs, excipients, and intermediates.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
• Ensure raw materials meet regulatory and quality compliance standards (USFDA, EU-GMP, etc.).
• Maintain optimum inventory levels to avoid production delays.
• Work closely with R&D, QA/QC, and regulatory teams to ensure material specifications.

Packaging Material (PM) Procurement:

• Source primary and secondary packaging materials such as blisters, bottles, cartons, foils, labels, and inserts.
• Ensure all packaging materials comply with pharma regulatory requirements and stability standards.
• Collaborate with the design and branding team for packaging innovations.
• Conduct supplier audits and ensure timely deliveries.

Vendor Management & Negotiation:

• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure long-term partnerships.
• Conduct regular vendor performance evaluations.
• Ensure competitive pricing while maintaining quality and compliance.
• Resolve supply chain issues, delays, and non-conformances with vendors.

Cost Optimization & Supply Chain Management:

• Work on cost-saving initiatives without compromising on quality.
• Monitor market trends for RM & PM pricing fluctuations.
• Implement strategic sourcing techniques for better procurement efficiency.

Regulatory & Compliance:

• Ensure all procurement activities align with pharma industry regulations.
• Work closely with QA and regulatory teams for supplier audits and documentation.
• Maintain proper documentation for supplier agreements, specifications, and compliance.

ERP & Reporting:

• Manage procurement through ERP systems like SAP, Quantum, or similar.
• Prepare reports on procurement KPIs, cost savings, and vendor performance.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of purchase orders, invoices, and delivery schedules.

Key Skills & Competencies:

✔ Strong knowledge of APIs, excipients, and pharma packaging materials.

✔ Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.

✔ Understanding of regulatory requirements (USFDA, WHO-GMP, EU-GMP).

✔ Proficiency in ERP systems

✔ Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

✔ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders.

Qualification: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / MBA (Supply Chain Management) / B.Sc / Any relevant degree having experience of sourcing in Regulatory Markets only
