Senior Accounts Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Invoice Processing: Review and verify invoices received from vendors, ensuring they match purchase orders and delivery receipts. Address any discrepancies by communicating with relevant departments or vendors.
• Payment Processing: Prepare and execute payments to vendors, which may include checks, electronic transfers, or other payment methods. Ensure payments are made within agreed-upon terms to avoid late fees and maintain good vendor relationships.
• Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payment receipts, and correspondence. Organize and file documents systematically for easy retrieval and future reference.
• Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile accounts payable records with vendor statements & other Statements to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to accounts payable, providing insights into cash flow and outstanding liabilities.
• Vendor Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors regarding payment inquiries, disputes, and other related matters.
• Tax Filings: Prepare and submit accurate tax returns, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), Income Tax, and Tax Deducted at Source (TDS), within specified deadlines.
• Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed about changes in Indian tax laws and regulations to ensure the organization remains compliant. Review financial statements and records to identify potential tax liabilities or risks.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Risk Assessment: Conduct tax compliance risk assessments to identify and address potential issues proactively.
• Training and Guidance: Provide training to internal teams on tax compliance matters and offer guidance on tax-related issues.
• Any other Deliverables which the Organisation deems fit to be assigned from time to time as part of this job function.

This role is crucial for the smooth functioning of a company's financial operations, ensuring that all Financial& Compliance obligations are met timely and accurately.

Preferred candidate profile

• Educational Background:A CA-Inter or CMA-Inter with a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles is essential. Additionally, a degree in Financeor Accounting can be advantageous.
• Experience :Typically, a minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable, TDS and GST or a related accounting role is preferred. Proficiency with accounting software, such as Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks or Sage, is often required.
