Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with QuickBooks certification to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, proficiency in QuickBooks software, and the ability to manage financial transactions accurately. This role will involve overseeing daily accounting activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Accounting: Perform day-to-day accounting activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable management.
• QuickBooks Management: Utilize QuickBooks to manage company financial data, maintain accurate ledgers, and generate detailed reports.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss reports, and other financial documents.
• Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements with company records monthly to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Tax Preparation: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other filings, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial data.
• Expense Management: Monitor and track company expenses, ensuring adherence to the budget and identifying areas for cost savings.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to accounting principles, company policies, and legal requirements related to financial management.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Certification: QuickBooks Certification (Desktop or Online).
• Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping, with specific experience using QuickBooks.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial regulations.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Other: Experience with payroll processing and financial analysis is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with additional accounting software (e.g., Xero, Sage, or other ERP systems).
• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations or financial reporting standards.
• CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus.
