Maintenance Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

1. Electrical Maintenance:
   
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CNC VMC electrical systems, including motors, drives, and controls.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults on CNC machines, such as issues with power supplies, electrical wiring, PLCs, control circuits, and sensors.
• Test and calibrate electrical components to ensure optimal performance.
2. System Installation and Upgrades:
   
• Assist in the installation of new electrical systems or components in CNC machines.
• Upgrade electrical components like controllers, drives, and wiring to enhance machine performance or comply with new industry standards.
3. Troubleshooting:
   
• Diagnose electrical malfunctions in CNC systems and determine the cause of problems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and machine manuals for troubleshooting purposes.
• Work with CNC operators and engineers to resolve electrical issues and optimize machine settings.
4. Monitoring and Documentation:
   
• Monitor electrical systems and ensure machines are operating within safe parameters.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and any issues encountered.
• Prepare maintenance reports and update machine logs with details on electrical system performance.
