Tool Room Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Tool Room Manager to oversee mold machining and assembly tool maintenance, development, and production processes. The ideal candidate should have expertise in machining and assembly, proficiency in CAD/CAM, and strong quality acumen to ensure precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage tool room operations, ensuring proper cutting tool and holder selection for optimized machining.
• Oversee the design,tool development, and maintenance of tools, dies, and molds
• Utilize CAD/CAM software for tool design, modification, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure proper machine setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance of tool room equipment.
• Monitor tool performance and quality, making improvements as necessary.
• Maintain inventory of tools and ensure cost-effective procurement.
• Collaborate with the production and quality teams to enhance tooling processes.
• Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements:

• Education: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Tool & Die Making.
• Certification: Tool room course or certification is preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years in tool room operations, preferably in plastic/injection molding.
• Strong knowledge of CAD/CAM software for tool design.
• Expertise in proper cutting tool selection for precision machining.
• Quality acumen with an eye for detail and continuous improvement.
• Leadership and team management skills.
