Working days and timings: Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6.30pm Experience: 2 +yrs Qualification: B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/M.E. - Mechanical Engineering

Required skills:

- Design and development of gyro-stabilized Electro-Optical gimbals and stabilized heads
- Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling and drafting using software like SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX
- Designing mechanical structures for stabilization systems, selecting critical components like bearings, motors, and gears, and collaborating with control system engineers for optimized performance.
- Experience in mechanical analysis (static, dynamic, thermal, vibration) using tools like ANSYS or similar FEA software.
- Proficient in understanding and addressing environmental requirements for mechanical systems, including shock, vibration and temperature considerations.
- Knowledge of lightweight structures for airborne or vehicle-mounted systems

Job description:

• Design and develop gyro-stabilized platforms, Electro-Optical gimbals, and stabilized heads to meet performance and stability requirements.
• Perform mechanical analysis (stress, thermal, vibration) to ensure system robustness and reliability under operational conditions.
• Select and integrate appropriate mechanical components such as:
o Bearings (e.g., precision ball bearings, roller bearings)
o Motors (e.g., DC motors, stepper motors, brushless servo motors)
o Gears and gearboxes for smooth and accurate motion control
o Encoders and position sensors for feedback mechanisms
o Slip rings for continuous rotation applications
• Collaborate with control system engineers to optimize the mechanical design for stabilization performance.
• Design lightweight and rigid structures using materials such as aluminium alloys, stainless steel, and composites to meet weight and stiffness requirements.
• Conduct CAD modelling and detailed drafting using software like SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX.
• Perform tolerance analysis and ensure manufacturability of designs.
• Support prototyping, assembly, and testing of gimbals and stabilization systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during testing and provide design improvements.
• Document mechanical designs, analysis results, and test procedures as per company standards.
