Control System Engineer-Electro-Optical Gimbals-Paras Defence

Working days and timings: Monday to Saturday, 9.30am to 6.30pm

Qualification: B.Tech/BE/M.Tech/M.E. - Electrical/Electronics/ Telecommunication / Instrumentation

Required skills:

- Experience with Electro-Optical systems (e.g., cameras, thermal imaging sensors).

- Designing and developing gyro-stabilized Electro-Optical gimbals and stabilized heads
- Expertise in control system design, including advanced control techniques such as PID, Lead-Lag, Feedforward, and Rate-Damping controls.
- Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink for system analysis, Modelling, simulation, and development.
- Experience with sensors like gyroscopes, accelerometers, and encoders for stabilization systems.

Job description:

• Design and develop gyro-stabilized platforms, Electro-Optical gimbals, and stabilized heads for precision applications.
• Implement and optimize various control strategies, including:
o PID (Proportional-Integral-Derivative) controls for stability and performance.
o Lead-Lag compensators to improve phase margin and transient response.
o Feedforward controls for predictive system corrections.
o Rate-Damping controls for vibration suppression and smooth stabilization.
o Other advanced control methods such as State-Space control, H-infinity, and Robust control where applicable.
• Perform control system analysis, modelling, and simulation using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Integrate sensors (e.g., gyroscopes, accelerometers, encoders) for feedback and stabilization loops.
• Conduct performance testing, system tuning, and troubleshooting to achieve precision stabilization.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical and electronics engineers, to optimize system design.
• Document control system designs, performance analysis, and test results as per company standards.
