NPD Engineer (Hosur)

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management:
• Manage end-to-end product development projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones and deliverables.

• APQP & PPAP Documentation:
• Prepare and maintain APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation as per customer and industry standards.
• Ensure successful completion of part submission for approvals.

• DVP (Design Validation Plan):
• Develop and execute comprehensive DVP&R (Design Verification Plan & Report) to validate product performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with testing teams to meet validation requirements.

• RFQ Management & Quotation Inputs:
• Analyze RFQs (Request for Quotations) and prepare technical and commercial proposals.
• Provide inputs for cost estimation and pricing strategies.

• Stakeholder Collaboration:
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams for seamless communication and alignment.
• Address and resolve technical issues promptly.

• Process Optimization:
• Continuously improve processes and workflows for efficient product development.
• Stay updated on the latest trends and technologies in the automotive domain.

• Compliance and Standards:
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant industry standards and customer requirements.
• Support audits and assessments as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience in new product development within the automobile industry.
• Expertise in APQP, PPAP, DVP, and RFQ management.
• Strong project management skills with a focus on timeline and cost control.
• Proficiency in CAD tools and familiarity with DFMEA and PFMEA processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
