Assistant Manager NPD

Position: Assistant Manager / NPD Engineer NPD Department

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field

Experience:

• A minimum of 10 years in sheet metal design and manufacturing
• Proven experience in leading development projects for sheet metal products

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo)
• In-depth knowledge of sheet metal processes and tools
• Familiarity with FA (First Article), PPAP (Production Part Approval Process), and simulation tools for design validation

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and Development:

• Lead the development of sheet metal parts and assemblies using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo
• Create detailed 2D/3D designs, engineering drawings, and specifications for sheet metal
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and performance while adhering to industry standards

2. Material and Process Selection:

• Select appropriate sheet metal materials (e.g., stainless steel, aluminum, GI, copper, MS) based on project requirements
• Define and oversee manufacturing processes, including laser cutting, bending, forming, punching, welding, and finishing

3. Project Management:

• Manage and execute development projects from concept to production, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with budget constraints
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including design, production, quality, and procurement

4. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs, project reports, and test results
• Create and oversee PPAP documentation to ensure compliance with quality standards
