Profile: Assistant Team Leader-US Taxation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation and review of individual (Form 1040) and business tax returns (Forms 1120, 1120S, 1065, 1041).
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, ensuring their development and performance.
- Coordinate workload distribution, ensuring timely completion of tasks and compliance with tax laws.
- Serve as the primary contact for escalated client issues and complex tax matters, including international tax filings (Forms 1120F, 5471, 5472, 8865).
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to benefit clients.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and ensure the team is informed and compliant.
- Collaborate with the Team Lead/Managers to set departmental goals and objectives.
- Assist in recruitment, training, and evaluation of tax staff.
Competence Requirement:
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive tax experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Extensive experience with individual and business tax forms, including international tax components.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in tax software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
