Roles and responsibility:
Tax Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and filing of all corporate, indirect, and international tax returns.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax payments.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations and implement necessary adjustments.
Tax Planning:
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities.
- Advise on tax implications of business transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and efficiency improvements.
Tax Audits:
- Manage tax audits conducted by tax authorities.
- Prepare and review responses to tax notices and assessments.
- Represent the company before tax authorities.
Team Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals.
- Recruit and develop talent.
- Allocate work effectively and monitor team performance.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate tax risks.
- Develop and implement robust tax controls and procedures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging tax issues.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 Years of Experience with U.
- Federal Income Taxes.
- Familiarity with 1040, 1065, 1120-S, 1120 and 706/709 Series returns.
- 5+ years reviewing tax returns prepared by others iii.
- 5 + years supervising junior accountants.
- Proficiency in explaining tax issues with clients via written / email correspondence.
- Proficiency in researching and explaining common tax issues.
