Job Description

Role & responsibilities


  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the pharmaceutical chemicals market, focusing on both existing and emerging markets.
  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients, nurture long-term relationships, and expand business within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze pharmaceutical industry trends, customer needs, and regulatory changes to stay ahead of market demands and create competitive offerings.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical manufacturers, R&D companies, and suppliers, to foster mutually beneficial collaborations.
  • Proposal Preparation & Negotiation: Lead the creation of compelling proposals, pricing strategies, and presentations to prospective clients. Effectively negotiate contracts and close deals to meet company growth targets.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (sales, R&D, regulatory, and supply chain) to ensure seamless delivery of pharmaceutical chemicals and customer satisfaction.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), track business development progress, and provide regular reports to senior management.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay informed on pharmaceutical industry regulations, trends, and technological advancements, ensuring our offerings are compliant and aligned with industry needs.
  • CRM & Sales Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust CRM system to manage leads, opportunities, and customer interactions, ensuring accurate tracking of sales activities and forecasting.





Preferred candidate profile

  • Any Bachelors or Master’s degree, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, specifically within the pharmaceutical chemicals sector or a related industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical chemicals market, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Proven track record of acquiring new clients, meeting/exceeding sales targets, and developing long-term business relationships.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence key decision-makers.
  • Ability to understand complex technical products and translate them into compelling business propositions.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and market analysis tools.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
