Strategy Consultant - Agro-Chemical - Contractual (5-15 yrs)

At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects.

Our client, a 30+ year-old SME agri-chem company with a national sales footprint and export presence in 10 countries, is undergoing a systematic transformation as part of a generational leadership shift. The transformation is led by a senior leader from a top consulting firm, in his personal capacity, alongside other family members with strong pedigrees.

To support this transformation effort, the firm is seeking 2-3 key temporary hires who will work directly with the senior leader in a dynamic and strategic role. The position is based in Delhi.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct data analysis on key business elements, including P&L, to drive informed decisions and prioritization efforts

- Evaluate financial and commercial trade-offs between various operational strategies

- Contextualize analyses with business and on-ground realities to ensure practical solutions

- Secure buy-in from key stakeholders for proposed actions and decisions

- Collaborate with the APL team to implement agreed-upon decisions

- Monitor and follow up on key elements of projects, decisions, and actions

- Build strong working relationships with key personnel to facilitate smooth operations

- Proactively identify and flag relevant opportunities and concerns to Vikram and other family members to drive management actions

Qualifications and Experience

- Proven experience in family business setups, manufacturing industries, or transformation roles

- Strong background in data analysis, P&L evaluation, and strategic decision-making

- Experience in sales and marketing, cost benchmarking, and CEO office support is highly desirable

- Ability to work with unstructured data and get hands-on with implementation

- Strong relationship-building skills and a practical, pragmatic mindset

- Diligence in follow-ups and driving initiatives to completion

- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
