- Our client, a top-tier consulting firm, is working with a leading consumer durables company on a comprehensive cost optimization and operational efficiency project in Bangalore

- To support this engagement, the client is looking to onboard Cost Optimization Consultants (OTC) with prior experience in manufacturing and logistics cost management projects

- The consultants will be required to analyze costs, build robust models, and drive vendor benchmarking to deliver actionable insights for cost reduction and operational improvements

Key Responsibilities:

- Cost Analysis and Model Building: Analyze diverse cost categories across the manufacturing and logistics value chain; develop detailed financial models for cost reduction and forecasting

- Vendor Benchmarking and Negotiations: Conduct outreach to vendors for cost benchmarking and strategic price negotiations

- Manufacturing Plant Insights: Assess and incorporate plant-specific nuances to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize operational workflows

- Strategic Cost Module Design: Build and implement customized cost management frameworks aligned with business objectives and best industry practices

- Data Analytics for Decision-Making: Leverage strong analytical skills to provide insights that drive smarter decision-making around costs and operations

Your Background :

- Experience: 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing and logistics cost projects, preferably in the consumer durables or industrial sectors

- Industry Expertise: Strong understanding of plant operations, manufacturing processes, and logistics functions

- Analytical Prowess: Demonstrated ability to build detailed cost models and extract insights from complex datasets

- Vendor Management: Experience in vendor engagement, benchmarking, and negotiations

- Project Management: Ability to manage cross-functional cost reduction initiatives and deliver tangible business outcomes

This opportunity will be on a 12 to 18 months (initial 6-month contract extendable every 6 months based on performance), requiring the consultant to work full-time on-site in Bangalore. The consultant will need to relocate to Bangalore for the project's entire duration
