Job Description
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Responsible for developing and implementing commodity Strategy for all Direct and Indirect Commodities across Cepheid India - Plastics, Metals, Reagents, Chemicals, Packaging, MRO, Travel, Hotels, Car Rentals, HR, FMS, Marketing, MICE, Office Supplies, Giftings and all other Business Services.
- Execute PR to PO process and normal purchasing activities to support Manufacturing and Commercial business Operations.
- Responsible for Negotiating and contracting with Suppliers in alignment with the respective functions while focusing on quality, delivery, and cost.
- Drive YoY cost savings thru new initiatives and bench marking across market.
- Leading Cost Savings Workshops and create SOPs.
- Alignment with Global teams on strategy and processes to leverage benefits.
- Conducting regular business reviews with key suppliers and monitoring performance as per agreed deliverables.
- Managing the end-to-end Vendor Onboarding process
- Ensuring and monitoring compliance to all processes and policies within and at supplier end.
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelor s degree in engineering with 8 yrs experience or Diploma in Engineering with 12 yrs experience
- Diploma in Purchasing Management or SCM
- Minimum 5 years managing Direct and Indirect commodities
- Experience in Medical, Pharma or FMCG industry
- Experience in developing and implementing commodity Strategy
- Proficiency in MS Office, PPT and ERP system(SAP)
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Working in Manufacturing environment
- Co-ordinating with multiple locations
