Strengthening the commercial finance function being currently done in India and documenting standard processes in line with global accounting policy and best practices
Accountable for all accounting activities in India relating to commercial finance, including AR close, balance sheet and Statutory Accounting/Reporting, service accounting this includes Credit mgmt., collections and Revenue recognition.
Revenue accounting, service accounting and recognition of provisions
Preparation of monthly collection forecasts
Post daily deposits
Maintaining strong partnership with Commercial and HBDC teams, provide partnership wherever required thereby ensuring monthly collection forecasts are achieved
Communicate with clients (Government Commercial) about billing discrepancies and addressing their issues
Ensure proper management and control over credit release and reporting on the Account Receivable, DSO days for India Entity.
Timely escalation to the management over any AR issues
Initiate collections on past-due accounts
Maintain AR accounting ledgers as required
Handle all special billing and credit situations
Audit ledgers to ensure they contain correct information, such as amounts, taxes, billing addresses and invoice numbers
Time to time support to commercial team for smooth functioning.
Basic knowledge related to Tax compliance and other laws.
Well versed with O2C process
Support on the preparation of month end AR MIS
Ensure effective stakeholder communication. Interacting with the cross functional teams on a daily basis to ensure the finance processes are adhered to
Requirement:
Bachelor s degree with 8+ years of experience OR Master s degree with 6+ years of experience (CA Inter / MBA preferred)
