Job Description:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and taxes for VPL.
• Developing a companys financial and accounting policies, workflows and methods after consultations with heads of finance.
• Evaluating a companys financial transactions to ensure they comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Maintain all department’s expenses within Budgets allocated, raise alarms wherever necessary and take corrective actions in consultation with the senior management.
• Monitor daily book entry and entry in the accounting software for all Sales proceedings, routine purchases, payments, vouchers, etc.
• Verify records of bills, work orders, etc. issued to vendors, contractors and daily wagers, salary and production incentives before releasing payments.
• Work with Internal and External Auditors in support of the annual financial accounts audit and annual internal audit plan. Keep Books of accounting upto-date to facilitate audits.
• Oversee inter-departmental coordination to ensure information related to all proceedings including finances are shared accurately & timely to finalise books of accounts.
• Ensure that monthly reconciliations are undertaken for waste disposal and fund collection of cotton.
• Regularly maintaining rapport and building coordination with bank regarding payments update, P&L account, debtor & creditor reconciliation while keeping a track of company’s financial portfolio (rent, loan, FDR etc).
• Monitor Preparation of Funds flow, Cash Flow, working capital analysis, CMA Projections periodically. Work with the Management in compiling the Balance Sheet and closing of accounts.
• Coordinate with the Management for preparing ROC (Return of Company) documents and share with the Company Secretary.
• Ensure to share the salary data along with PF & ESI details for filing the PF & ESI Returns as per govt. guidelines.
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices to the client with compliance to government/tax requirements.
• Performing month-end reporting to management (MIS) on status of accounting activities and deliverables.
• Verifies and records payments and transactions related to accounts receivable and accounts payables including monthly reconciliations.
• Proper entries for foreign currencies transactions, fixed asset records, insurance renewal, debt activity, Inter unit accounting/movement etc.
