OpenShift Engineer - Monitoring Tools (5-6 yrs)

Job Description :

Key Responsibilities :

Platform Administration :

- Deploy, configure, and manage OpenShift clusters across on-premise .

- Perform cluster upgrades, patching, and version management.

- Manage OpenShift nodes, pods, and workloads to ensure seamless platform functionality.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting :

- Monitor OpenShift cluster health and performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or equivalent.

- Troubleshoot and resolve platform-related issues, including network, storage, and resource-related bottlenecks.

- Analyze logs and metrics to identify and address problems proactively.

Security & Compliance :

- Manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies and ensure proper access control for users and applications.

- Apply and manage security policies, certificates, and encryption mechanisms.

- Conduct regular security assessments and ensure compliance with organizational policies.

Automation & Scripting :

- Automate recurring administrative tasks using tools like Ansible, shell scripting, or Terraform.

- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.

Integration Support :

- Collaborate with development and operations teams to support containerized application deployments.

- Integrate OpenShift with other DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CI/CD pipelines.

- Work closely with vendors to resolve product-related issues or enhancements.

Documentation & Reporting :

- Maintain up-to-date documentation of the OpenShift environment, including cluster configurations, policies, and procedures.

- Provide regular performance and usage reports.
