Workday Integration/Extend Developer

JD for Workday Integration Profile:

Key Responsibilities:

Integration Development & Design: Design, develop, and deploy complex integrations using Workday Studio, ensuring robust, scalable, and secure integrations.

Leverage Workday Integration Core to create, maintain, and enhance integrations with various third-party systems (e.g., ERP, payroll, benefits management, and other cloud-based applications).

Develop end-to-end solutions for data exchange, including inbound, outbound, and bidirectional integrations. Use advanced Workday Studio tools, such as Transformation Steps, Web Services (WWS), and Integration Templates, to create effective integration solutions.

Collaboration & Requirement Gathering: Engage with stakeholders from IT, HR, Finance, and other departments to understand integration requirements and business processes. Collaborate with technical teams to gather and document integration requirements and provide design solutions that align with business needs. Work with functional teams to implement Workday integrations that meet security, regulatory, and business requirements. System Configuration & Customization: Configure Workday Studio components (e.g., integration flows, connectors, transformations) to support integration requirements. Set up and maintain integration connectors between Workday and external systems like payroll providers, banking systems, third-party HR systems, and financial applications. Customize Workday s standard integration templates to fit the organization s specific needs. Testing & Troubleshooting: Develop and execute comprehensive integration testing (unit, system, and end-to-end) to ensure accuracy, security, and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues, ensuring data integrity and minimizing disruption to business processes. Perform continuous monitoring of integrations, ensuring they run as expected and addressing any errors or issues that arise.

Documentation & Support: Create and maintain detailed documentation for integration designs, technical specifications, and process workflows. Provide ongoing support for Workday integration solutions, including debugging and resolving production issues. Provide expertise and guidance on best practices for developing and maintaining integrations in Workday. Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing: Stay up-to-date with Workday releases and new features, ensuring integrations are compatible with system updates. Identify opportunities for improving integration performance, scalability, and automation within Workday and related systems. Share knowledge and mentor other team members on Workday Integration Core, Workday Studio, and best integration practices.

Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with Workday Integration Studio and Integration Core. Proven experience with Workday s integration tools, including Workday Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), Workday Web Services (WWS), Core Connectors, and Workday Integration Cloud. In-depth knowledge of Workday HCM, Payroll, Finance, and other core modules is essential. Experience in developing and maintaining integrations with external systems using various protocols like SOAP, REST, FTP, SFTP, and web services. Expertise in integration design, including mapping, transformation, data validation, error handling, and troubleshooting. Prior experience in implementing Workday Studio solutions for complex integrations is required.

Skills: Expertise in Workday Studio integration development and Integration Core management. Strong experience with various integration tools and middleware (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Jitterbit). Knowledge of data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, and XSLT. Solid understanding of API development and integration protocols (REST, SOAP, HTTP, etc.). Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills. Ability to effectively work in a collaborative team environment and communicate complex integration concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Certifications (Preferred): Workday Integration Core and/or Workday Studio Certification.

Workday HCM, Payroll, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
