About the Role -

We are looking for a Tech Lead/Head with an entrepreneurial mindset to take ownership of the technical, architectural, and delivery aspects of our SaaS platform. In this role, you will act as the product architect, team lead, and project manager, ensuring seamless execution of client implementations, guiding the team, and shaping the product's future.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a dynamic individual who can seamlessly transition between strategic planning and diving deep into technical challenges. As a core leader in our startup, you will directly impact the growth and success of our product and team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product Architecture & Strategy:

• Evaluate and guide Product Architecture decisions like monolith vs. microservices architecture etc.
• Design scalable, multi-tenant architecture to support enterprise-grade clients.
• Implement best practices for product security, scalability, and cloud optimization.
• Collaborate with external experts/vendors when necessary to finalize critical architectural or cloud-related tasks.

2. Team Leadership & Productivity:

• Work with the Product team and plan the delivery of sprints
• Provide accurate effort estimation and resource allocation for tasks.
• Foster team productivity by introducing and leveraging AI tools where applicable.
• Mentor and upskill the engineering team to ensure technical excellence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines

3. Client Implementations:

• Interact directly with clients to understand their requirements.
• Create and manage implementation plans to deliver solutions on time.
• Act as the technical point of contact during client discussions and escalations.

4. Technical Expertise:

• Be hands-on with MERN stack development when required.
• Ensure code quality, performance optimization, and adherence to best practices.
• Oversee the integration of third-party APIs and tools to enhance product capabilities.

Skills & Qualifications:

Must-Have:

• 8-10 years of experience in software development, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
• Experience building and scaling B2B SaaS products.
• Strong understanding of product architecture, including multi-tenancy, microservices, and security best practices.
• Cloud platform experience (preferably Google Cloud Platform or AWS).
• Ability to plan and manage sprints, estimate efforts, and ensure team delivery.

Good-to-Have:

• Exposure to AI tools for enhancing team productivity.
• Experience interacting with clients for requirements gathering and solution delivery.
• High-level understanding of cloud cost optimization and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with implementing regulatory compliance features in software products.
