NDP Manager (New product development)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior New Product Development Manager to lead and manage complex, cross-functional product development initiatives. With a minimum of 10 years of experience in product development and a deep understanding of market dynamics, you will drive the strategy, innovation, and execution of new products that contribute to the growth and success of the business. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire product development lifecycle from concept through to market launch, working closely with teams across R&D, design, marketing, and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Product Strategy & Vision:
  Define and communicate a clear product development roadmap aligned with business strategy, customer needs, and market trends. Lead the identification of new product opportunities and innovation initiatives to drive business growth.

• End-to-End Product Lifecycle Management:
  Oversee the development and delivery of new products, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Manage the product development process from ideation through to commercialization, including prototyping, testing, and final market introduction.

• Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  Lead and mentor product development teams, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Work with key stakeholders in R&D, design, engineering, sales, marketing, and manufacturing to ensure all aspects of product development are aligned and executed effectively.

• Market & Customer Insights:
  Lead advanced market research efforts to gather customer feedback, understand market needs, and evaluate competitive products. Utilize this data to inform product design, positioning, and pricing strategies. Ensure that the product features meet both customer and business needs.

• Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
  Drive the integration of cutting-edge technologies, design thinking, and innovative approaches into product development. Constantly assess product performance post-launch, managing ongoing improvements and identifying opportunities for product enhancements or extensions.

• Budget and Resource Management:
  Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines efficiently, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget. Balance resource allocation between multiple projects while maintaining focus on quality and risk management.

• Risk Management & Problem Solving:
  Proactively identify and mitigate product development risks, resolve technical or operational challenges, and manage changes in scope. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and sustainability goals.

• Go-to-Market Leadership:
  Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market strategies. Provide product insights, positioning, and launch support to ensure successful market entry and adoption.

• Stakeholder Reporting & Communication:
  Report regularly to senior management and stakeholders on product development progress, including key milestones, risks, and success metrics. Communicate product development timelines, challenges, and updates effectively across the organization.

Key Requirements:

• Education & Experience:
  
• Product Design, Marketing, MBA preferred.
• At least 10 years of proven experience in product management, new product development, or a related field, with a significant portion of that time spent in senior or leadership roles.
• Extensive experience managing large-scale, cross-functional teams and complex product development projects.
