Job Description

  • Assist in compiling, proofreading, and editing drafts of contracts, leases, licenses, policies, and other legal documents in strict confidence using proper templates.
  • Supports regulatory/legal case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences; preparing pleadings; monitoring and obtaining discovery responses; organizing materials for a team case review.
  • Assist in filing exhibits, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel.
  • Research industry compliance regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with the preparation of reports, case files, and legal advice.
  • Conduct studies and read up on journals and other news accounts to obtain information on new laws that can impact the company.
  • Assist in developing strategies that see conformance to new regulations.
  • Gather data and compile various reports for management and the compliance department.
  • Assist in maintaining an appropriate risk management framework that is fit for the business model.
  • Document, evidence and present all findings identified through the monitoring activities, highlighting trends and potential risks to the business.
  • Review different departments in the organization to ensure they adhere to set laws
  • Assist in keeping other departments abreast of requirements by researching regulatory and filing information; writing and communicating guidelines
  • Evaluate companys policies and procedures to ensure they are in line with established regulatory standards and resolve hidden/potential issues in company laws
  • Provide administrative support to Internal Audit and Compliance function and enhance office effectiveness.
  • Correspond with counsel, regulatory authorities, clients, witnesses, etc.
  • Assess company operations to determine compliance risk.
  • Develop and implement control systems for dealing with violations of compliance guidelines and policies
