Senior Engineer - Component (Instrumentation/Electrical)

Role & responsibilities

• Preparing the specification sheets for electrical and instrument components from provided
  PFDs and P&IDs.
• Selection of control valves, Flow transmitter, pressure transmitter, Electromechanical on/off
  valves, Temperature transmitters, thermowell, Level sensors and transmitters, pressure &
  Temperature gauge, gas detectors, etc.
• Conducting technical discussion with supplier/ manufacturer to get right product like valves
  and transmitters as per the design requirements.
• Preparing test setup and conducting the validation test for all selected Electrical & Instrumentation components.
• BOM Verification, NRND analysis, verifying details like manufacturer part number, component description, lifecycle status, compliance requirement like UL, Estimated EOL date and Source type.
• Alternate component or part selection for the hydrogen systems with compliance requirements like UL, CE and PED
• Creating new parts & adding required documents, attributes & part descriptions to the PLM tool.
• Review supplier Product Change Notices (PCNs) for impact.
• Component testing and qualification for alternate parts.
• Supporting the R&D team and coordinating with cross functional teams like manufacturing and sourcing.
• Interacting with vendors and suppliers to get the components life cycle details, UL, CE, ATEX and PED certificates.
• Basic Knowledge of PLC, HMI, DCS
• Understanding the integration of electrical components (i.e. motors, VFD etc.) and
  instruments (PT, TT, FM etc.) to ensure seamless functionality within mechanical systems.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E in Instrumentation with 5-10 years of experience as a component/Instrumentation Engineer.
• Positive attitude to learn and make others learn
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Good Team player.
