Associate Project Planner, Grade I

Position Summary.

In this role, Associate Project Planner is responsible to generate the project plan, baseline schedule in alignment with Project Manager, identify, escalate the planning related issues, and manage it throughout the project lifecycle.

Your success will be measured by your ability to keep tasks on track, support the project team, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our operations, directly impacting Oceaneerings ability to deliver exceptional results to the stakeholde.

This position is based in Chandigarh/ Pune.

Our hybrid/remote work model offers the flexibility to work from home, allowing you to balance personal and professional life.

Please note that the first 6 months will require working from the office.

Ability to travel domestically and overseas up to 10-25% of the year.

Essential.

Duties & Responsibilities.

Develop project plan based on the project requirements and project management best practices.

Able to identify scheduling process gaps and come up with best practices.

Develop/ adopt standard WBS within the plan.

Gather project status from project team and update the plans accordingly.

Update the master schedule and provide a summary of project status.

Create a forecast and suggest assignments and priorities for upcoming work.

Collects and tracks performance and performs critical path analysis.

Participates in metrics analysis and reporting.

Assists in assessing risks and risk abatement recommendations.

Provides analysis and recommendations regarding corrective action measures or changes regarding schedule revisions, manpower adjustments, funding allocations, and manpower requirements.

Adopt and maintain a strong, ever-present and overriding culture of safety in all facets of professional activities and actively help manage and promote Oceaneerings HSE policies and practices.

Escalate issues arising from operations and resource constrains.

Coordinate engineers and record progress against milestones of the project plan.

Update the necessary changes in the project schedule with common tools like Primavera P6, Smartsheet.

Update resource loading chart to have the most up to date view of the project's resourcing position.

Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.

Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.

Qualifications.

Diploma or Graduate in any specialization.

Industrial experience of 8 years, with minimum 4 yearsexperience in project support / planning related activities.

DESIRED.

Project Management qualification / certification.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Other Characteristics.

Intermediate knowledge on Project management or scheduling software (e g Primavera, Smartsheet, MS Project etc ).

Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills, Peoplesoft ERP, etc .

Relevant experience of effectively supporting project teams.

Ability to communicate effectively and work within an international, multi-cultural, virtual team.

Ability to write accurate and concise communications.

Self-Driven, collaborative team-player attitude.

Strong Analytical, problem solving & decision-making skills.

Strong organizing and planning skills.

Additional Information.

Working Conditions.

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.

Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night.

Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace.

Work surface is stable (flat).
