Role Overview:

The Procurement and Supply Chain Manager will oversee and optimize procurement, sourcing, and supply chain operations exclusively for hospitality and hotel operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the hotel industry and a proven track record in handling procurement challenges specific to hotels.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement Management:

1. Vendor Management:
   
• Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with suppliers experienced in catering to the hotel industry.
• Negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing, reliability, and adherence to hotel brand standards.
2. Sourcing:
   
• Procure high-quality products and services, including F&B items, housekeeping supplies, hotel amenities, and maintenance materials.
• Ensure alignment of purchases with operational needs, budget constraints, and guest expectations.
3. Inventory Control:
   
• Develop and enforce policies to manage inventory effectively and reduce wastage.
• Implement systems to track inventory levels and ensure timely replenishments for seamless operations.

Supply Chain Optimization:

1. Logistics Management:
   
• Coordinate and oversee logistics operations, ensuring the timely delivery of goods across hotel properties.
• Manage relationships with logistics and transportation providers, optimizing supply routes.
2. Process Improvement:
   
• Assess current supply chain processes and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Introduce and manage ERP or other technology solutions for streamlined procurement and supply chain management.

Compliance and Reporting:

1. Regulatory Adherence:
   
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with local, national, and industry-specific regulations.
• Maintain updated records for audits and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
2. Performance Reporting:
   
• Prepare detailed reports on procurement costs, supplier performance, and supply chain efficiency.
• Use data insights to forecast procurement needs based on occupancy rates, seasonal demand, and event schedules.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of procurement and supply chain experience exclusively in the hotel industry.
• Skills:
  
• Comprehensive understanding of hotel-specific procurement practices.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in ERP and other supply chain tools tailored for the hospitality sector.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication abilities.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices and eco-friendly solutions for hotel operations is an added advantage.
