Job Description
- Supplier Management: Identifying and evaluating suppliers, maintaining supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts.
- Purchasing: Managing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring they meet quality standards, and ordering within budget.
- Raising Purchase Orders: Creating and raising purchase orders based on requirements, ensuring accurate details and timely approvals.
- Cost Control: Monitoring costs, seeking cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring timely delivery of products or services.
- Inventory Management: Keeping track of stock levels, replenishing stock as needed, and ensuring optimal inventory levels to avoid shortages.
- Compliance: Ensuring that all procurement activities follow legal, regulatory, and company policies and guidelines.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and invoices for audit and future reference.
- Supplier Performance Monitoring: Regularly assessing supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, and compliance with agreed terms.
- Contract Management: Drafting, reviewing, and managing procurement contracts, ensuring terms are favorable and risks are minimized.
- Budget Management: Collaborating with internal departments to understand budget needs and ensuring that procurement stays within the allocated budget.
- Negotiation: Negotiating prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to secure the best deals for the organization.
- Order Tracking and Follow-up: Monitoring the progress of orders, ensuring timely deliveries, and addressing any delays or issues with suppliers.
